Scottish Power want to charge me £162.63 for the fitting of an isolator switch that I need before i can get the EV pod fitted. My neighbour who is with British Gas said its free for her and other people with other energy companies have not had a charge, is it just Scottish Power that charge. Should I change provider?

It will cost them to come out and fit one so it is down to them whether they charge or not.Do you already have a smart meter installed? If not you can often get one fitted free when they change the meter out.0

They attempted to fit a smart meter for the electric but there was an issue and only the gas meter works correctly, so i have a ticket in to get that looked at again, they said they will need to send and engineer out.0

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1
