Withdrawing S&S ISA from Nutmeg ?

Hi there,

I've been investing into a Nutmeg S&S Isa for around 8 years or so and at a point when my returns are high and I'm debating on withdrawing now to pay off my mortgage but had a couple of questions;

I've read online that you don't pay tax on the gains from the shares. Is this correct? As I'm also hearing the term "crystallised". So am I needing to pay tax on the profits? I'll be withdrawing over 100k and my profit from this is near £15,000.

May be a silly question, but if I withdrew some of my S&S, would this affect my returns as such? Is it best to withdraw everything or my returns wouldn't be affected too much if I withdrew say £50,000?

Many thanks!

    The entire ISA is tax free so you don't need to worry about taxing your profit. It's all yours, down to the last penny (minus any outstanding Nutmeg and fund charges)

    Clearly if you have less money in it, your potential returns are less.
