We are in the 45 day consultancy and the company have just asked those of us who are facing losing our jobs to welcome 3 new employees to our team we all do the same jobs

My sister worked shifts at Morrisons and she tells me that when they were struggling with staffing at weekends, they eventually made several staff redundant who would usually refuse to work any weekend shifts.
They then ensured that future employee contracts stipulated that they may be required to work weekend shifts. You then had the same situation as you describe.
