Travel insurance when about to start dialysis

Hi.
My mum in law has a bucket list and we want to help her get a weekend in Venice ASAP.
Her kidneys are failing rapidly and she is going to have to start dialysis in May.
She prob will not be able to go anywhere after this happens.
We've found deals in the very near future but don't know what to do about travel insurance - don't even know where to start or if she'd even be able to get any.
Can anyone offer any advice?

She may be insurable and you would probably have to go to one of the specialist, but it is going to be really expensive. You probably need to start phoning around to get some idea before you book anything because you may well need to talk to the insurer in person rather than via the comparison sites which can be a bit “computer says no.”All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Can anyone offer any advice? You might be surprised. There are many options for those on dialysis to go on holiday.Explain to insurers the situation, you will get cover but it may well be pricey.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
I'd also contact a few of the Kidney health charities. They may have tie ups with insurers who understand the issues.0

Ask at the hospital where she will receive treatment, they will have contacts or groups who can help. My Daughter in Law got insurance to go to Paris whilst undergoing dialysis treatment twice a week.
