Buyer asked for parcel to be posted after 21 days .. I didn't

I sold an item last week, but because I was going away for a few days I posted it off immediately, the same day in fact.

A couple of days later I noticed the buyer had left a note, asking me to wait 21 days before posting  .. but I never saw this .. It's possible the note wasn't even there when I actually did post it .. but of course, I have no way to check this

According to the internet, the RM depot will keep a parcel for a maximum 18-day period. Could I (as the seller) contact the depot and ask them to keep it longer .. after all, my return address is on the parcel, so they will see I am genuine.

Can’t help with your question but I had a similar message last year so I did hold on to the item until they gave me the nod to send.
I got a late delivery count for my trouble and the buyer didn’t even leave feedback

The best thing to do would be maybe wait until nearer the end of 18 days and see if you can schedule a redelivery.

Yep, and that’s why I never delay sending. Those late despatch strikes are dangerous so I politely explain to buyers that I need to post or else they need to cancel the sale.
