Solicitor refused to act, as the building is 5 storeys high

Hi Everyone, My offer just got accepted, however the solicitor that I had lined up, just refused to act, as the building is 5 storeys high and they said they don’t take such buildings. What is the problem? It's a £150k leasehold (well over 900 years left), 2bed flat, CASH PURCHASE, the building has got EWS1 A1 certificate…

Has anyone's solicitor refused to act for them weeks the conveyancing process? This is for the purchase of a flat on the 6th floor. The solicitor didn't ask which floor the flat's on, took on the conveyancing and has our £700 up front. The seller's solicitor was slow and ours received paperwork which indicated that our purchase is a "relevant building". Our solicitor is now waiting for confirmation of this, but the freeholder will probably take ages to respond so we'll have to instruct another solicitor who deals with these buildings.
