Scottish widows - critical illness and life policy

Hello all. I’ve had a little look and didn’t see anything related.
so… many moons ago I was sold a Scottish Widdows plan. This was during one of the “reviews” that then Lloyds TSB gave you when you dared enter a branch…
They sold me a policy for death and disability etc..
however i think i was pressured into getting it by their sales patter. It turns out that my work pension and work benefits more than cover me, at the time of sale I was living at home, no montage and no dependents so essentially, really didn’t need the cover…
what’s the process for attempting to claim for something you believe was mis sold?
thanks in advance

nothing you have said indicates any issue - the fact it has CIC means you did have a financial need and the inclusion of life assurance is a no-brainer with CIC as it adds little or nothing to the cost. So, your reference to living at home, no mortgage or dependents wouldn't be a viable reason for complaint. If it was life assurance only, then that is a different matter.

So, many moons ago, had you become ill such that you would never have worked another day in your life and needed to make modifications to the place you were living to deal with your illness... did you have enough savings and other insurances to cover all that comfortably?robNCL said:Hello all. if you are with the 99.99% that would have to say no then you had an insurable interest for CI and life is more or less free when in conjunction with CI.
Sounds more like buyers remorse than miss-selling.0
