When I visit https://forums.raspberrypi.com in Opera browser I get the error message
I have cleared the cookies but I still get this problem.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
I have contacted the site but had no answer yet.
Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access raspberrypi.com

I'm using Opera (android version) and I've just opened your provided link without any problems.
Are you running the latest version?0 -
I believe Opera disables all extensions in Private Mode.If the issue resolves itself in private mode than an extension you have is causing the problem.0

The site loads fine in chrome. Can you try a different browser? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

It's fine in all browsers EXCEPT Opera0

the site might be ‘protecting’ itself by blocking their IP addresses. Might have had some naughty boys visiting or a large number accessing through the Opera VPN, triggering DDoS protection0 -
If you have other browsers then sounds like a good excuse to stop using Opera, not that an excuse should be needed.
For your problem, you haven't got a browser based VPN running have you - Menu -> Settings -> Privacy -> VPN0 -
You could of course be blocked by over zealous moderators , far too many forums suffer from this unfortunately
Most have keywords set up so if you say a certain word or variation of, it flags up and if you don't toe the party line, you're a gonner0 -

i.e Opera for raspberry pi, google for MSE, google for ****@gmail.com, firefox for ******@gmail.com etc.0 -
I also have a laptop which gave me no problems accessing the raspberry pi forums using Opera so I uninstalled Opera, cleaned out the registry of any mention of Opera, removed any files and folders relating to Opera and reinstalled Opera and now I can access the raspberry pi forums again.0
