Steam generator iron condensation/ironing board recommendations

Bit random but here you go ...
I have just started using a steam generator iron.
After about 30 mins of use upwards the floor beneath the ironing board gets very wet. It looks like condensation is collecting on the bottom of the ironing board and running down/dripping on the floor.
This never happened on our last (very good) steam iron.
Any one else have this problem and have have any advice?
Any recommendations for steam generator iron compatible ironing boards that will stop it?
Thanks!

A steam generator potentially creates a lot more steam than a steam iron. My wife has used one for years. I have no idea of the make but it has a metal lattice deck and thick felt under the cover. It may just be a case of getting use to using the generator as you certainly don't need to create a constant stream of steam.

Thanks for the replies so far.
It might be that I need a thicker ironing board cover.
Ours has mesh underneath but the material isn't amazing thick so that might be making the problem worse.
Towel on the floor might be the way to go too.
Not sure if there is such a thing as a steam generator compatible ironing board cover but I will get googling!

As I mentioned in my previous reply, my wife has used a steam generator iron for years and doesn't have any problem with excess water dripping through. I do suspect it's more a case of getting used to the different levels of steam produced.
