getting blinds for velux windows

we have a few windows that need blinds. 2 are easy (ish) as they are ordinary windows - one in the kitchen and another in the bathroom but they are odd sizes which will require a special order roller blinds I think. (in between sizes available at B&Q or Dunelm)
And then there's upstairs where we have 4 velux windows. 3 of them need blinds. The fourth in is the bathroom and on the shaded side of the house so the sun never shines directly in so we're not bothered about that.
The other 3, however, get the full force of the summer sun. At a guess I'd say they are 3 different size windows. And no one here is that grand at DIY so I need to find a place that will come in, measure, show us what will work, manufacture and install. It's very important to us that the 2 larger windows at least can have nothing covering them at all when the blinds are "up". And that the whole structure is robust enough to put up with reasonably strong breezes.
I thought that something like Hilarys would do as they have a measure, make and install service but I can't see that they do velux at all. Other than that I'm just picking out random websites that some of which will make and ship the items for us to install but I have no idea what I'm actually trying to look for.
The previous occupants put simple roller blinds on these windows. Great but there's no proper way for them to cover the actual window, just shade a certain area of the room from sun that might shine through. And they're getting tatty.
I know that recommendations are not allowed but what should I actually be looking for and how do I spot a carp provider?

Velux blinds are a doddle to fit if you can use a screwdriver.
Nothing complex, the fittings are designed so it's simple to get them in the correct position and screw them on before clipping the blind into themEx forum ambassador

Velux windows are all standard sizes - just open your window and look at the Velux label, it'll give you a code - something like "GGL MK04" for example. Once you have this code, you can shop around based on it.
I bought Velux brands for five of my windows, just not from Velux direct as I found other suppliers were substantially cheaper - interesting thing was they were all shipped direct from Velux regardless! Fitting is simple, with only a few screws to install. There are companies that supply compatible blinds too, which should be cheaper - but I don't have experience of those.
Its important to note that the blinds fit within the frame close to glass - you will lose a small amount of window, its hardly noticeable. This means they work well in the summer when the blind is closed, but the window is open - they will stand up to a tough breeze.

I went to a local independent company and they supplied and fitted them ( it was a while ago so I don't recall whether they sourced them from Velux).1

I agree with those who say Velux make blinds for their standard windows, also other outfits make blinds to fit Velux windows too. Just like this:

Velux window blinds can be pricey, but here are smart ways to save:
Buy Generic – Measure your Velux model number and order from third-party suppliers (often 50% cheaper than Velux brand).
DIY Option – Use tension rods with blackout fabric for a budget fix (under £20).
Energy Savings – Thermal blinds cut heat loss, paying for themselves in 2-3 winters.
Child Safety – Add cheap cord cleats to secure pull cords away from kids.
Pro Tip: If replacing the window, bundle blinds with the installation for better deals.
