Slow running after clean install

Hi I have just done a clean install of windows 11 from a usb stick.
At the partition option i have deleted everything i could to free up disk space as i used to do this with normal HD's
But i have an 250 SSD HD on this desktop and before my clean install i also had a "D" data was 931GB also which i used to store all my work on but i no longer have that option.
The Local "C" disk has 882 GB free of 930GB. Yet before the clean install it was 250GB and the "D" data was 931GB
I chose not to save all my old files at the clean install option's also.
What have i done wrong?
Should i do another clean in stall and not delete partitions this time.
Thanks
I think i did the install wrong as chose USB FDD

Did you intend to install windows onto your SSD (250GB), but it ended up going on a mechanical traditional hard drive (930GB) ?
If so, that would indeed make windows perform very poorly. If this is the case I'd do the clean install again. You should get a choice of which drive to install it on.1 -
Thanks
Going to do a clean install again and not delete anything this time.
Which drive though?
Thanks again

If the 250GB drive is your SSD, then it's Drive 1 at the bottom of that list.1

Drive 1 is your 250GB SSD. Yes, I know that it says 238.5.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Yes that's what had me confused.

I am really sorry about this but now I don't have the 930GB partition.
The installation seems to be quicker if that makes a difference.
I did a Windows run diskmgmt.msc and the partition is showing but I don't know what to do now.
Thanks again

Maybe, post a screen shot of the disk management screen? I assume there's an option in there to partition and format the missing drive, but I'm not familiar with W11.

You should just have to right click the unallocated space and assign a drive letter in your case (D)1
