Friend is staying at her house in Cyprus but can't get her sky.com emails on her ipad

It worked last time they were there in 'late summer'

She's very non-techie but I talked her through installing Windscribe on the ipad, set it to "London Crumpets" but it still wouldn't work.

Set it to airplane mode and back - no different.

Any thoughts?

Likely using location services (GPS) as well as IP location then as they do with the Sky Go app. Try turning that off (or airplane mode and only switch Wifi back on).

Or it could just be that the VPN you chose is blocked as well.

Long term answer, stop using ISP supplied email services. Its not a good thing to do and never has been as it can influence not swapping ISP when it would be more cost effective to do so. It is just one of their ways to lock in customers.

Her husband has now arrived to join her - spoke to him this morning and "I had to reload everything and it's working fine now". Not sure what he exactly meant, but, hey ho!
