Can I get a mortgage with Halifax or another supplier with a settled 6 month default?

Hi, myself and my partner have had an offer accepted on a house in December 2023 a week later my partner had a default registered on his account but this was then settled. We’ve been told to wait 3/6 months to re try for a mortgage. Owners are happy to wait for us, which is amazing!
Is it likely that we’ll get a mortgage with Halifax or another supplier in about 6 months time?

We struggled...have found only 1 lender who accepted 12 months old one, but I guess it depends on other circumstances0
