Norton 360 for Gamers

I got a free 3 month subscription to this when I bought a new laptop in November - the subscription has now expired and I don't plan to pay Norton - but I don't see any change in the actual program - apart from a red banner telling me "SUBSCRIPTION STATUS : Expired"
I assume that I am still protected ?
It still updates and still scans as previously
even Secure VPN still works
Anyone .......
My option is to uninstall and replace with AVG or similar or even rely on Windows Defender - but what's the point, if Norton continues for free
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

uninstall Norton! Do not replace with anything. Just use Windows Defender2

If you are a gamer then the last thing you want installed is Norton. It is a resource hog and latency killer.
Uninstall and set up Microsoft defender and use Malwarebytes once a month for malware scanning.3 -
OK will do400ixl said:If you are a gamer then the last thing you want installed is Norton. It is a resource hog and latency killer.

It appears that MS have been playing - the latest update (KB5034848) has got rid of "peek at desktop"

Well I don't know what you're doing or looking at but nowhere in the update you posted does it make any mention of Desktop Peek being removed. It was actually discontinued last year.but you can recreate the same effect by holding down the Win key and then the comma key.0
