Hi Martin
Love to watch your show, you can usually answer all our financial problems, please Help.
Below is the letter that I have tried to send to ipark services in Huddersfield
Do we have to pay this fine, if we don't it goes up to £300
ipark services
We have just received a parking fine for £100 for parking at The Princess Royal, Huddersfield, HD1 4ER
reduced to £60 if we pay within 13 days
Registration GD18 PW0
My
wife has COPD and needs Oxygen for 16+ hours per day she is 78 years
old and has extreme mobility problems because of her breathing
difficulties, as her husband and carer (I am 75) it is my responsibility
to drive her to all of her medical appointments. She also has a Mobility Scooter.
We
have never been fined for parking, as my wife is a Blue Card Permit
holder and the car is clearly marked as a Disabled car. I have to take my
wife for many appointments at Hospitals and Clinics usually around
Halifax and we have never been fined for parking even when a Disability
parking spot is not available. When we arrived a Princess Royal we tried
to find a person that could advise us as to where we should go, we
could not find anyone at all, the place seemed deserted, after about
half an hour we decided to leave.
From
now on we will refuse to visit The Princess Royal, if we are requested
to by our medical practitioners and will only accept medical locations
within Halifax.
On behalf of Mr & Mrs H. Taylor

And Martin Lewis doesn't post here. But we do!
Anyway you obviously just complain to PALS on Monday and it gets cancelled. Tell us if that complaint doesn't work.DO NOT PAY.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

From the hospitals website free parking is available for blue badge holders but you need to take it to the reception to get your vehicle white listed on arrival, but you would never know this from the signage on site as it is abysmal from looking at Google Streetview. You do not have a "fine" it is an invoice from a greedy private parking company that will not care about your letter they will say you entered into a contract to park tough luck. You need to go to the hospital and present your blue badge to PALS and state the facts in your statement above but tell them that their signage is poor and you didn't understand ask them to get the charge cancelled by their contractor.Martin Lewis is far too busy to bother with these forums but there are plenty of great people on here that will help if you come back.2
