They only seem to say:Olinda99 said:when you ordered the cases there would have been details about their return policy and what you have to do to return things eg it might say return to store or it might say drop off at the nearest evri pointStatutory RightsBecause you are a consumer, we are under a legal duty to supply goods that are in conformity with this contract. As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to the goods that are faulty or not as described. These legal rights are not affected by your right of return and refund in this consumer right of return and refund policy pursuant to the Regulations or anything else in these Terms. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
Acceptance occurs upon dispatch so any info provided in the dispatch email or on paper with the goods that varies from what was said before would likely be classed as unfair due to paragraph 10 of Schedule 2 of the CRA.
So unless there is something in the order confirmation email (or something else I'm missing) about what happens in the event the goods do not conform I can't see a Matalan customer has agreed to return rejected goods but instead has a duty to make them available for collection.

I wonder if the OP reached their holiday destination with dry bags, wet bags, damp bags or carrier bags!

Something doesn't add up here.Ordered 3 large suitcases for delivery the day before leaving on holiday?Needs the suitcases for the holiday.Wasn't in when the suitcases were delivered. What, exactly, were they expecting to happen to the suitcases?Has no car, won't take a taxi, can't/won't take the suitcases on a bus.'no home collection was offered despite me asking' ...If he/she is going away on holiday, that's fairly pointless anyway. As I said, something's not right here.3

Gearing up for returning them after the holiday on the pretence a return was already authorised?Vectis said:Something doesn't add up here.Ordered 3 large suitcases for delivery the day before leaving on holiday?Needs the suitcases for the holiday.Wasn't in when the suitcases were delivered.
