Very odd....its not ordinary actively remembering something like that for a year, so I must have read is somewhere....anyone else recall it at all?
Confused!
I cant remember exactly what it was, but I know there was some sort of warning about it. I think the interest awarded ater a year was described as a 'bonus' by someone (maybe Martin??)... and you might have to have your account open to get it.
I know there is something at the back of my minding ringing a faint alarm bell... i hope it becomes more clear soon !
looking forward to my yearly interest payment anyway0 -
I do remember the interest rate increase also as it took place soon after I opened the account which was fantastic.....!
Anyway....going back to my original question.....what other accounts are out there please !???
Thx!Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -
Have you got kids ?
Try the coventry fixed for 1 year at base rates plus 0.5%
so currently that 5.25%0 -
No good to me! but thanks! ....any other alternatives...? Find it odd that there are no other good suggestions amidst all the clever ms'ers out there!!?!Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0

With 90 days Notice Chelsea BS are offering 5.4% .... can anyone better that ...??? And why doesn't Martin have it on this site?
Oh .... and for those of you with an ING account be aware that they are about to drop their rate .... to 4.85% I think .........0 -
Nope .... its 4.75% !!!!!!0

A&L have their Premier Plus Current Account at 5.00% AER - snag is that you have to be putting £1000+ in a month - if your salary is paid in then you're sorted!0

Don't A&L pay 5.00% only on the first £2,500 in the account? I think I'm correct about that. To my knowledge anything above £2,500 receives 0.1%.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Yep you are correct! Seeing as my salary isn't in that range its good value for me!!!0
