Does googling the guys name throw up anything?
    Unfortunately no

Then if its not in the Wayback Machine it will be irretrievable.

Your only other hope is that its been archived on some drives or pen sticks that belonged to the person in question and they (the drives) are still around and haven't been reused in the meantime.

If they have been reused or lobbed out.. you're out of luck I'm afraid.

as I said, twice, it depends where it was hosted

so for example if it was hosted at GoDaddy then godaddy may well have archive backups

    Very unlikely after 10+ years.

Even the current T&Cs for GoDaddy says "You shall be solely responsible for undertaking measures to: (1) prevent any loss or damage to your website or server content; (2) maintain independent archival and backup copies of your website or server content ...   Our servers are not an archive and we shall have no liability to you or any other person for loss, damage or destruction of any of your content".  Other providers will have similar.

I suspect once the original payment window expired for hosting the provider would have just suspended the account and then eventually deleted the website and any back-ups.

    Hi

I'm looking for an old website for a family friend who's  husband passed away ten years ago.
It's just a few pages and he made it himself but would be really lovely to get some screen grabs from it to send to her.
I know the domain name no longer exists and think it was only up and running for a few years about 2011
    Can anyone help please?
Don't know if this helps https://archive.org/
I tried that and couldn't really understand it.  But nothing came up :-(
Just to confirm - you searched by the website domain name?  It might be worth you just stating the URL here and someone might be able to turn something up.
