Painters damaged old parquet floor - help!!!!

Hello - hope you can help. I have beautiful original parquet flooring in a 1930's building. It has aged to a gorgeous dark brown. Painters did not use protection for floor and got pain absolutely everywhere. They used spirt and a scourer to remove and now the floor is patchy in places. Is there any way to treat the patches rather than treating the whole floor. Any tips will be grateful.

There is a Facebook page called your old house uk - repair and conservation. They may be able to help. You will probably need to post pictures. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1023449561785486/0

Yes, you should be able to make a decent job of it but it will take time and effort.
If there's specific forums/fb pages on this then that's going to be the best route to investigate first.
But correct cleaning, probably light sanding by hand, staining and waxing.
Briwax used to do different colour waxes we used but it's a while ago.
In this case something like Topps furniture stain better than Ronseal.
Do you know what they used to clean it?I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Depending on how good you want it to be, you might need advice from someone who specialises in wood finishes.
Have you paid them?0 -

We had part of our parquet ruined by a plasterer so ended up sanding it down and applying fiddes hardwax oil which we had already used previously. Try and get some different colour samples to get a match if you want to do a DIY job.
For the odd scratch we use a wax filler stick.0
