VALM said:@Clutterbug07 I get the nail polish thing. I used to be enticed by value kits and would buy the OPI Fall collections each year. Nail polish is a fairly inexpensive item to collect and takes a long time to go off so is never really wasted.
The only thing ive learned is I never truly finish a bottle. Ive tried nail polish thinner in the past and find it changes the formula so much that the polish isnt worth using.
Have a few UUs from the weekend- Kerastase Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo: I like this shampoo. I don't know if it really helps with hair-fall, but the hair I do have looks in good condition. Got the replacement last month when I knew this was running out
- Cetraben Overnight Ointment: Got this tub at the start of June so it lasted a good 9 months- and I use it every night! Love it, am definitely a slugger now. Got my replacement for this in January as I thought I would finish it but it kept on going- not to self- this stuff lasts AGES!
- Simple- soothing eye balm: This has a nice silky texture and is pretty basic- contains vit B5, Vit E, bisabolol and jojoba. I'd probably buy it again, is nothing fancy though. This was one of my expired products so finished up on the body.
And I went through some of my single eyeshadows and had a bit of a clearout, so these are throw aways:- Concrete Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow in Still III: "frosted white-gold"- well it just looks white to me, and I don't like it and have to absolutely force myself to use it. I'm just going to bin. I bought it in June 2016 apparently so it's 8 years old.... probably time to go!!
- Concrete Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow in Bruise- SAMPLE: free sample, super dark navy. I will never use it. Don't particularly want to look like I have a black eye and it comes in a terrible container that spills everywhere!
- Barry M Dazzle Dust in 104: A very non-descript brown, I don’t think I have ever used. Think this was a freebie, cos I wouldn't have bought it. I'm not a huge brown shadow person and if I did use a brown, it would not be this.
- Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow- Countess: Metallic maroon loose shadow with some aqua flecks. It doesn't have much punch, and is not a good colour on me. Bought in Sept 2019.
- Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow- Holy Ghost: Medium blue with pearl finish. Not really a big blue wearer and this one doesn’t have the colour payoff. Bought in November 2018
- Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow- Polar: Bought in Oct 2020. Metallic cerulean blue with holographic rainbow sparkly. It is a pretty colour, but it's that odd clumpy lumpy formula, the big flake thing that I just don’t like because frankly, it drops all over your face. Plus, I only really wear blue for dance shows and I haven't been to dance this last year or so, and I have nice blues in palettes that are easier to use.
- Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow in Sixteen: Matte, warm-toned violet for that signature purple eye. It's not a flattering colour on me, and the colour payoff isn't great either. I have similar nicer versions in palettes, and I don't even want to attempt to pan it. Purchased Nov 2021.

Evening all, I'm still here for this challenge, still have the same list as February
2)Beauty Pie flash face lift super drops serum. I'm a fan of serums but I stopped using this as it did nothing for me currently using it in the morning to use it up. WNBA
3)Beauty Pie super healthy skin deluxe body moisture creme. This my HG body moisturiser but I have so many others I nerd to use so I'm going to use this up and then not buy any more until the others are done! Almost finished this got another two applications then I must choose from my many body creams what to replace it with.
4) fuzzy duck hand cream NBI: - another gift from 2 years ago part of a 3 set I will get through them! Omg this never ends.
5) Vera Wang princess perfume NBI: - I stopped using perfume when I got pregnant and was breastfeeding, will start again now, still smells nice so will use everyday again WBA.

I have 2 more items going out
UU Charlotte Tilbury Red Vixen lip gloss. I cant get enough product on the wand and from experienxe the stopper is too small to remove. I have repurchased this in the past but wont repurchase mow. I think CT is hugely overated. I find the constant You Tube advertising nauseating.
GA Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune perfume. Given to Emma. I wasnt reaching for it. It was an impulse buy on holiday.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Aveda Nutriplenish Leave-in conditioner. WBA. Onto next one alreadyNot buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
UU A green people moisturiser. This is my "go to" and there is a spare in the cupboard but using up a couple of other options at the moment.
Also a decision made. With the help of this thread where I have been for over a year I have used up, donated or TA a lot of product. I am now having my en suite completely redone and the work starts at the weekend so I have to clear the room. I bought the house at the end of last year after a 5 year very nasty wrangle with an ex and i want to make the house "mine" I am going to empty the room and only keep the products I love and want to use or use up Anything unused that I don't really want to use up (like the 5 unused deodorants!) will be donated to the food/hygiene bank and stuff I am trying to use up but don't actually like TA.
The main bathroom is to be cleaned and redecorated so I will do the same there too. This is a new start for me and I can be anything I want to be now I am free of the ex. A lot of stuff was purchased in an attempt to make me "feel better" and with help from this thread I've used a lot up.
Now it is time for a fresh start. I'll still be here to stop me getting into a muddle againMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3
