PCN NTK with no photo evidence?

Options
Just read through the newbie FAQs - have I interpreted the POFA guidance correctly that this NTK should have their "evidence" included e.g. ANPR photos with date/timestamps? Or are there some other glaring mistakes I've missed? (the "statement of truth" wording "I have wilfully stated which I know to be false" doesn't make sense to me should be "that which I know to be false" surely?)

Never heard of them!  If you go as if to appeal online you should find the photos taken.

My advice that you try one appeal then ignore it (DO NOT TRY IAS) is the same as here:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Brewerygate have made sporadic appearances on this forum.  I recognised their 'address' as one I had seen for other parking firms. 71-75 Shelton Street is currently the Registered Office of 93,287 active companies! They are IPC members and use Gladstone's.

Just goes to show the level of incompetence OR they copied it from someone else who also got it wrong. Off course they meant "willingly" OR they are being wilfull.

Just a quick update in case anyone finds their way here by Googling "Brewerygate".

The car park is on land that was part of the old Cains Brewery site in Liverpool. It's now called "Cains Brewery Village" and has been re-developed for mixed retail/food/drink/entertainment use.

According to Companies House the director & secretary of Brewerygate Ltd appear to be the same 2 individuals named here (sorry can't post links - google search "who owns cains brewery village" - you might find "Ajmail and Sudarghara Dusanj") as the "British-born entrepreneurs" who developed the current use of the site. Seems like appealing to the land owner might have limited results as Brewerygate appear to be inextricably linked to the landowners...?

The parking charge sent to me as keeper was for a visit at approx. 8pm in Feb (i.e. in the dark).

As for the site itself there is no lighting inside the perimeter of the car park - it is lit by overspill from the (very high & very bright) LED street lamps on the road to the south. The payment machines and a good few signs have their backs to the road lighting meaning they are in shadow. The biggest sign is adjacent to and partially obscured the entrance gate at the entrance. Hilariously the notice of the £100 charge for breaching conditions if formatted like this:

"Breach of ANY term or condition will result in the driver being liable for a PARKING CHARGE of:

(then a huge amount of white space)    £100 "

With the £100 being in inverse font (white on black) and over to the far right of the sign - which is partially in shadow cast by the gate from the LED streetlamps... I have photographs of all these features.

I've complained to the place we visited on the site and they are "trying to get the charge cancelled via the landlord" they say "it's a serious frustration and it hinders our business" - fingers crossed....

Can’t appeal (or even pay!) online. Seems their IT backend is broken or (just purposely designed to be as unfriendly as the car-park and its ridiculous scam ticketing system) - going by their reviews on trustpilot it’s not uncommon. Cowboys.

Entering the ref num & car reg on their page just results in “sorry we can’t find this ticket”.

Will have to email and write I guess?

Take a screenshot.  I'd ignore them until LBC.

  • Visited 14th Dec 2024, placed in registration details when leaving, and fee requested was £2. This then doubelled to £4 when we went to pay. Touched the screen and machine stated "required payment £4. Paid the £4, bank accounted debited. Received parking ticket demanding £100 reduced to £60 if paid in 14days. Not disputing parking there, but paid what I was asked. Provided proof of ticket and payment from bank with appeal. Rejected!! Brewerygate state I parked in excess of 2hrs, but I paid what was requested after inputting registration details. Any help appreciated.
