hello,
I recently stayed in an air b and b, upon arrival we noticed that the heat in the flat was unbearable along with other issues such as broken/ missing items from the listing. I contacted the host and the agency and was informed the heating was broken and they were unable to turn it off, due to the noise outside of the property due to its location, we were unable to have the windows open this resulted in really bad stay. I contacted air b and b once we left as the agency was withholding a substantial deposit and I feared about getting it back (another issue) and now air b and b are refusing to refund as we did not contact them during the stay, to note we did contact the host and agency. Is this correct or am I able to claim back some money for this?

So even though the heat was unbearable and you could not open the windows you did stay? What sort of refund are you looking for?0

Presumably you were aware of the location when you booked the property. Opening windows occassionally should have been possible, Just your personal choice not to.0

In terms of the separate heating issue, you could perhaps have negotiated some sort of token gesture, although you obviously wouldn't be due a full refund, but the time to do this would have been when discussing the issue at the time, rather than waiting after after completing your stay, which weakens your case.0
