Latest Royal Mail have delivered to your home address?

We heard a noise from the letterbox and then a knock on the door at 7:20pm, someone trying to stuff something through.
Opened the door to find a Royal Mail guy with a small 130mm x 160mm packet that was just a little to fat to go through
the letterbox cleanly.
Must be the latest we have ever had a RM delivery, around here if it's after 2pm your probably not going to get a
delivery that day. Never been after 4pm until now.
Anyone get late deliveries from RM?

I posted something similar last year , well after 7pm when we had a small parcel delivered . Just spotted another thread where someone said their RM post has not been delivered, unless they live local to me
did something happen at RM to cause a backlog?

I get emails saying my parcel is being delivered today, says before 7.30 so must be the new norm. The latest they've come is around 6pm0
