Connecting a android mobile phone with a external wifi unit

Rrecently a friend has been given a Ttp-Link M7350 Mobile Wifi unit
Can his android mobile phone with just a payg phone/text sim card permanently in it be connected to the internet with this mobile wifi unit with a seperate data sim card in it with no problems to his phone/text sim card

Do you mean use the data sim in the mobile WiFi to surf the net and not your phones data?

If so connect to it like any other WiFi

Yes it works the same as any WiFi hotspot in the home, friend/family's home, shop/pub/restaurant that he would connect the phone to for internet access.

yes ,  he  connects to the  Mifi  as though it is any other wifi network
