Travel Insurance

I've been researching quotes for travel insurance with pre existing medical conditions. Nothing serious just chronic managed conditions and minor ailments diagnosed in last 2 years. Which is what they ask you to disclose.
Some of the questions for disclosed conditions dont fit with the circumstances of the conditon and when contacting the providers they are unable to help and just say check with your GP. It's so frustrating and added to this is the huge premiums for just a weeks holiday in Europe.

What they are interested in is what your medical record specifically shows. Because if you do make a claim, they will be contacting your GP to ask.So, in similar circumstances I contacted my GP practice, explained it was for travel insurance and asked exactly what my conditions had been written down on as because there were several different possibilities on the insurance form. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Staysure and the post office insurance ask what condition you have and I have multiple medical conditions which were listed. It then asks basic questions. Do you take medication , has i5 ever stop you travelling etc.

Others the screening is just silly... looking at PostOffice, it deals with my condition ok but if you are declaring a heart attack one of the questions is "have you had chest pains since the heart attack" and one of the options is "I've never had a heart attack"1 -
I don't understand your problem 'Have you had the tumour removed?' is a straightforward Y/N if you have previously answered Y to 'Have you ever had a tumour'. I don't see the connection between that question and the fact that you were born with 'part of me missing'. If it was never there it hasn't been removed.
