Morning all. It's wet, wet, wet here!
No real plans for today other than doing the ironing and making a cake. I have a Library book to return if I fancy walking out in the rain.
Tonight I'll be driving down the M1 for Morris practice but that's about it.
Off to put some pork shoulder steaks in the slow cooker ready for later.
Your penultimate day at work Izzy!

Morning, wet here too, but I suppose it's the beginning of saving me watering pots, not that there's much in them yet but think positive innit
I did on purpose break off some more sage shoots to see if they'll take, the ones that I did that with last year are growing with really big leaves, hoping these will do the same, bigger leaves, less picking and chopping. I have a docs appointment today and I need to get diesel so that's my job later on, some presents to wrap for one of twelve brithdays this month and I also have to stop in town to look for something else. Repeat after me a hundred times, I will not go into the haberdashery shop, I will not go into the haberdashery shop, I will...Other than that, lazy day..Wicked Little Letters was very funny and an easy watch, entertaiing and I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed it wasn't 2 hours or more long, Marvel, take note....I nearly didn't get there on time though, some poor girls wheel had fallen off her car just across the only way out of my street, there were police directing traffic and all sorts, poor thing, she was getting wet too....
Oh Izzy, that was funny, one day left to go! Have a lovely walking holiday too...Ruby, well that's a shame, have a word with the workmen and ask nicelyGers, the Workman Curse strikes again, better luck next time and happy haircut day! Allie, have a nice weekend! Rosy, that does sound lovely, the scenic bus trip I mean...SO,I did laugh at that...snoozer, you paint a lovely picture, good job I haven't had breakfast yet
Sue, congratulations to your dgd! TA, I think on balance, I'd definitely go with the wait and nicer food. Stay dry everyone!

Hello all, I fell asleep on the sofa last night then woke up and went to bed early. I really needed a rest after running here there and everywhere. I slept in late this morning too and even the crockery shelf collapsing in the kitchen didn't wake me ! Mr Fix It was emptying the dw and putting the dishes away at the time so now I'm one dinner plate and a small china jug down, that's not a good start to his being in charge next week when I'm incapacitated for a while 😂 (And the plate was one of my new ones !)
We have a delivery today and I'll put the washing away from yesterday, as it should be dry this morning then do an online food shop. Although Mr Fix It will be IC of the cooking and is a pretty good chef, I'll get a few ready meals too, just in case he doesn't feel like cooking.
Izzy one more day to go and you can wave goodbye to that silly woman. Do you think you'll get a present for all your service ? I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you 🤨
AA never mind it's the thought that counts 😁 Hope your eye gets better soon.
SuffolkSue thanks and I hope your op goes well too at the end of the month. Well done to DGD 🚗
taff you did make me laugh when you said about the seeing eye dog yesterday🤣
SO If that's the case my thought about painting interior walls for ages counts a heck of a lot 😂
Right I'd better move myself and do something, although it feels nice not to be doing anything for a change.
Take care all, sending healing vibes to the poorly ones or anyone recuperating.

Afternoon everyone
Little one has been for the morning and is now down at my mam and dads - it's DDs last day at work until next week, when hopefully we'll be back to normal. Little one was a lot better this morning and ate a little more than she has been. She's going to go to school just for the morning tomorrow though DD will have to go in twice to give her milk feeds, at least they just live 2 minutes walk away now. She goes to see the dietician on Tuesday so DD is hoping the milk feeds will be stopped again if she is back to eating properly.
Little one was thrilled because her teacher had put some homework through their letterbox so we had a busy morning doing maths, colouring and comprehension.
I'm going to get comfy with my book now. Hope everyone has a good day x
Izzy - you'll not be expecting the boss to come in with a big bunch of flowers then? x8 -

Ruby, we have a similar annoying problem although the people in the house opposite have a long enough drive to park their cars on they usually have one on the road opposite our driveway making it tricky to get out.5 -
Hi,
I'm writing this because I don't know what to do with myself. Our poor little Esther had a seizure this afternoon and was taken into hospital by ambulance, we were hoping it was a one off thing although she didn't have a high temperature or anything. She had another one a little while ago so it's very worrying.
Please keep us in your thoughts.6 -
