Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, cold, mixed weather forecast.
Dinner last night was smoked sausage, jacket potato, cheese and beans, boiled egg and pork pie (DH). Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be eating.
Working today.

Good morning, it seems to be a dry start today, yesterday was a nice day.
I haven't posted for a while, as haven't been very well, but I'm now feeling better.
I must read back to see what everyone has been up to.
Thinking of any poorly/ sad people, and hoping that everyone has as good a day as they can.
I'm just returning to edit - I did a post yesterday which I thought hadn't posted. Looking back, I see that it did, and it's very like today's post!
I thought I'd better explain!11 -
Morning all. It's been very windy and wet all night, and very noisy with it.Yesterday became a waste of time as the blooming fencer didn't bother to turn up or respond to texts. It's always being in tenterhooks which is annoying. Anyway, I sorted somethings out and generally faffed around for most of the day. I'd ordered two new baking trays which arrived but they have are raised inside, like having a shallow moat which is very weird. They're now ready to be sent back and other new ones now coming. One of my friends sent me a letterbox mini rose plant so I put it altogether, it got a bit messy wirh a slight soil spillage. No pool session this morning as it's my rescheduled hair appointment from two weeks ago. Today was the only convenient one for time as the trip each way is long and I want it done before my visitors tomorrow. The hairdresser only works Wednesday to Saturday. I'll have to make moves shortly. The wind is still high and the sky is grey, perhaps it'll clear up later.@Scarlet - take things easy after being ill.Hugs to all our poorlies.10

Morning!Woken with a sore eye - very annoying, it felt itchy last night so not surprising. I’m in work for a while today but a later start which is nice.Nannywindow - I’ll wave as I cross the border but you might not see me cos it’ll be near Wrexham!Dp1 - hope you and little one feel better soon
Izzy - excited?
Gers - happy haircut and enjoy that lovely drive
Everything ready to throw the campervan when I get back from work - not going far really it’ll just mean I don’t have drive there and back in a day to meet friends for lunch tomorrow.AA12 -
Morning all
Pourimg with rain here again I swear this must be the wettest spring for years everything is so waterlogged! Off to collect Rob today and take him to work, cafe today so at least we are inside.
Spag Bol for dinner tonight dd is off this week so I expect she will cook it, I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to go on the airer in front of the fire.
DD is getting used to her braces now and seems to be eating a bit better which is good. The cones worked well yesterday until the workmen moved them again 🙄 almost immediately someone parked there, they don’t block our drive which is a dropped curb and then a slope up to the house but park directly opposite, I reverse out and as it’s a narrow road it just makes it very difficult to get out oh well it was good while it lasted!
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all, thanks nmlc. Glad you're feeling better Scarlet. No post from me yesterday, I had a bus trip to Bury market, took the scenic one over the moors for a change- the direct route is always rammed with students, made a nice change but it was misty on the tops. I didn't buy much but on the way home at the bus stop was a lady I used to work with at school with her DH. She was also both DS Y6 teacher so we had a lovely catch up before the bus rolled in. Once on the bus they went upstairs, I went down and sat next to another old aquaintance I hadn't seen for years either!Went to pick DGS up from school, he was excited about a football after school thing next week that he's been chosen for.DGD was at DSs already so that was nice.We had lamb chops for tea. I watched half the football later with DH then caracked on with my library book I got the day before.Hope you and little one are improving dp1.Happy haircut day Gers, and a nice drive.Allie enjoy your trip! Not long now IzzyTake care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Did think about doing a few jobs in the garden, but it's very cold and looks like rain. Well they say it's the thought that counts.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning folks. A calm and dry day is forecast again for today but tomorrow sounds like a lucky dip as we could have sleet, snow or hail says the weatherman. A pleasant Spring is a long time coming. This endless winter has really depressed me.
We had the usual good bus trip day out yesterday and changed our lunch venue. Although the service was much quicker the food wasn't quite as enjoyable so we may go back to our preferred venue next time and be prepared for slower service! Swings and roundabouts!
Today is a bit of a pre Friday Tidy to ease the burden for tomorrow. I currently have a lights wash on the go and then will give the kitchen and bathroom a once over. Then the bath mats and towels can get washed too and join the first load festooning the upstairs. Can I cope with the excitement of it all!
Have a good day all and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly littlies, getting better and sad or lonely. NAN I'm glad you have finally got confirmation of your op and procedure appointments. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Hi everyone,
We are and have been the house of vomit. Poor Esther hasn't been well for a couple of days and will miss nursery today. Laura was supposed to be going to London for a drinks event (work) but I don't think she'll be able to leave a very clingy Esther. Every time she lies flat she seems to vomit so Laura only had a couple of hours sleep on Tuesday night and I sat up last night until 2 which is when she started crying for mummy again.
I am wearing a blood sugar monitor for a couple of weeks, having decided to do the Zoe challenge to see if I can improve my stomach issues. It's been quite interesting so far with some foods that I thought would give me a huge glucose spike doing fairly minimal damage. I'm a bit more interested in the tests they do on the gut bacteria though because I have a feeling that mine is totally messed up.
Ruby, we have a similar annoying problem although the people in the house opposite have a long enough drive to park their cars on they usually have one on the road opposite our driveway making it tricky to get out.
Scarlet, I'm glad you're feeling better.
Have a good day.
