Go see them: In person. Ask, calm and polite, what they have already done & what they are planning to do & when.0

Apart from the memorandum, what is it you want/expect them to do?Can you contact the buyers and ask for their solicitor's details? As they've had a survey done they are obviously as keen as you to move forward so should be happy to oblige. You can thenm pass the details to your solicitor.0

It's weird how differently these processes are handled in different places, I'm due to exchange any day but at the start both us and our buyers had to appoint solicitors and actually get mortgage offers in place before the houses were taken off the market.
Definitely call them and go in and see them as the process needs to be done properly. You need to know your buyers are able to even get a mortgage, they should be making sure they have proof of funds before having surveys done.0 -
In which case your buyers haven't even received their mortgage offer yet. What exactly are you expecting the EA to do at this juncture in the proceedings?[Deleted User] said:
My buyers has a survey done yesterday so I don't think it's them dragging their heels, although it could be.
How long would you give them before complaining / what would you do?

Thank you, I guess nothing from your reaction. I haven't sold a house before, my solicitor has asked me to chase them because they can't do anything until they get the memorandum of sale. And because my portal shows my buyers haven't instructed a solicitor I was getting worried.Hoenir said:

Thanks for your reply, I will stop chasing!0 -
Please don't remove your post, its against the rules of the forum and is unhelpful to future forum users with similar issues.[Deleted User] said:Removed- thanks all for the replies. I feel a bit silly for asking!0 -
Hannh it's not silly to ask, to me your agents are letting things happen a bit haphazardly and they should be giving you some kind of confirmation of an offer etc.
Definitely push for your buyers to get that mortgage offer in place, it's pretty quick to get one in place and you need to know before any of your time and money is wasted that these people can actually buy your home.0 -
Have you not stopped to think that it's a little odd that Hannh's buyers are dragging out getting a mortgage offer in place, the estate agent hasn't even confirmed the sale and yet the buyers have sent a surveyor around!Hoenir said:
