    Trying to contact them but they don't live at the property. Will leave a letter there anyway. Unfortunately it's a property we as a family are set on and although massively against it, in the grand scheme of things £600 is nothing
    It may be peanuts if you actually get the property. I just hope you realise you're getting no assurance of that and it could well just be £600 down the drain.

    Tell Redbrik the searches are out of date and you will either pay the fee once they are updated or pay the fee minus the cost of the searches

    Yep - but the problem with that is that if the buyer pulls out, they lose the £600 (in addition to the other lost costs).

    So, for example...
    • If it turns out that the seller has told 'a pack of lies' about the property, so the buyer decides to pull out
    • Or the seller messes about for such a long time that the buyer gives up and pulls out

    ... then the buyer loses their £600


    But maybe a buyer would accept the risk of losing £600.

    (As opposed to the Modern Method of Auction where the buyer would lose a minimum of £6k)
