Issue with withdrawing money online from a Leeds Building society account

I have had this account for about a year and this was the first time that I had tried to withdraw any money/transfer to another bank. I got stuck at the point when a security code is sent to my phone because nothing arrived. After 3 attempts to generate one, I rang them up. The person suggested a problem with my internet connection/phone connection but this wasn't the case. I gave up and requested the money from a different bank account. Their security code reached me straight away and I did a transfer. Has anyone else had a similar problem (before I go back to the account and test it again)?

Double check they have the correct number & format.
Often they add 44, but people still add the leading zero, when you should not.Life in the slow lane0 -
I looked at their record of my number on my account but it only allowed me to enter it as the 07 bit plus my number. No box/space for 0044born_again said:Double check they have the correct number & format.

Whilst on the phone why didn't you just ask them to do it for you, which they will. They didn't offer to do so at all. Just said I would have to wait for the code to come through (which it still hasn't). I gave up and used money from a different bank account.Wheres_My_Cashback said:

It worked a few days later. I still don't know why it didn't on the day.[Deleted User] said:What network is your phone on? is it a ported number?0
