I don't have photo ID yet have bank/building society etc accounts, however it will make things more difficult to get bank accounts, however not impossible.

If you have a support worker, doctor someone else that knows you they might be able to help with writing a support letter to get you setup with an account.

As for other proof I think you are going to need something such as a benefits letter, driving licence, passport.

I don't think a birth certificate as proof is a thing these days for adults.

The council might be able to help to provide proof of where you live.

Citizens Advice or similar might be able to help too.

Things are done more digitally these days hense why it's been a while since I've been into a bank but check online &/or in branch what things they can accept.

    Hope I've helped you

Thanks for the reply, I have sent off for a provisional, so now I have to wait it to turn up. Have spoken to some of my creditors about a 30 day breathing space, 2 more to go, can I ask for an extension to this?

I'm not sure about the legals, but you have been making an effort with things and hopefully that's been explained and proven to them.

Hopefully someone can help on here about extensions.
