Protecting personal finance from business

Hi I am in a partnership which is a profitable business but likely to dissolve. If a partner does not pay their share of exit costs how do I protect my assets (mortgage savings) from being used for that persons debt?

    What are the exit costs?

    Ensure contracts are split proportionally not on a severable liability basis, but many won't entertain such arrangements.
