EE Mobile £8 - Unlimited everything ( with conditions ) is it worth it ?

Currently on a rolling contract with EE for £8 a month for 6gb of data at full speed ( got a 4g phone ) - unlimited text + calls but when the 6GB runs out it drops to 3G which is unlimited .
Does this sound like a good deal ? i have checked the comparison sites and can find cheaper deals with more fixed but none with the unlimited data .
Thanks

Depends how often you exceed 6GB
How useful is 3G to you? It can get you out of a bind if you are lost and need to use Google Maps but useless if you use the internet for streaming music or online gaming all the time.0 -
3G networks are currently being switched off and EE did their last one this week, so you won't be getting any use from that 6Gb.0

Hi was unaware they were cutting the 3G off , the 6gb data is at the 5G speed ( I only have a 4g phone though ) and use to runs onto the 3G when it ran out for no additional cost.. Will give them a call tomorrow and see what happens when they cut the 3G and update.400ixl said:3G networks are currently being switched off and EE did their last one this week, so you won't be getting any use from that 6Gb.0 -
Just an update , EE confirmed that the 3g was cut off in Jan , I never noticed as I have not used over the 6GB for a couple of months .. When I said I rely on the 3G for google maps etc as I do alot of driving they upgraded my account to 14gb for the same price which seems a very good deal ( I think) on a rolling contract.
