Same as a lot of people but ouch! Just had the renewal through, zero changes from last year. Same car, same address, no added penalties etc. Went through Go Compare and Compare The Market. It's gone up from £297 to £679. WOW!

    Your registered blind?
  • Apart from, yes it's increased for many people answer there's also:
Driver age, location, inherent vehicle flaws/vulnerabilities, crime in local area.

I've also found the closer to renewal, the quotes gradually become more expensive.

You could try looking at the insurance comparisons through topcashback. I've used them the past couple of years and got £40 cashback last year and £45 coming my way this year.  By shopping around I'm only paying about £20 more than last year.

Whilst all premiums have gone up, that seems a bit steep to me, (ie more than doubled??). Definately worth comparing the market....other websites are available...

I wonder ( but hope not ) if they will go up as much next year ,will make motoring very expensive if they do.

We are a long way out from 2025... current predictions vary from flat to small increases. No one predicting increase percentages like over the last two years.

Just got the renewal through for my 107, £212 last year, £214 this, so actually gone down in real terms. 9 years NCD. Be interesting to see what the comparison sites find. My old Boxster is also due soon, so will be interesting to see the change on that.
