Compensation for reduction in golf club membership

It is run by a company, they bought the club in early 2023, annual membership renewals were processed on 1st July 2023, no indication given about making any changes to the structure of the course until January 2024, although rumours were rife throughout out the end of 2023, at the end of 2023 they even allowed the advance booking of sections friendly matches throughout 2024 (men's, ladies and seniors) which involves a lot of voluntary work, even requesting at the last minute that some be moved to a different day of the week, which have now all had to be cancelled. They seem to be maintaining that they did not realise the problems with drainage when they took over, but during lockdown a lot of work was done to improve drainage under the previous owner. who spent around £350,000 on improvements. The club made a profit of £250,000 for the year end 2023. They have totally upset and ruined  thriving club of 700 golf membership who are now scattered to all the surrounding clubs.
