Faulty Next sofas

I bought two matching sofas from Next in June 2006. A few months ago I contacted Next to say I was unhappy with how the sofas were wearing. The upholstery is fine but the seat cushions have gone very flat and the feather bolsters have shed most of their feathers. They sent a company out to assess them and he told me that the foam seat pads needed replacing and that the feather bolsters were in a proper casing (ticking) to prevent them working loose. Next rung me as soon as they had his report and arranged replacement cushions. The cushions arrived just before Christmas and we had to put them into the covers. Easier said than done as they were a tight fit but we did it. However the zip on one of the covers broke on Christmas eve I'm sure under the strain. I rung Next who has asked me to email pictures, which I have done, and they will ring me tomorrow. What should I now expect? I don't know if the cover can have a new zip fitted as the seam has split quite badly by the zip and has frayed. If they replace the seat cover it might not match the others (suite is very light colour).

Expect a new cover through the post.
That is the best I could hope for. They seem to be looking after you very well.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
They have been very good. I think it helps that I took the 2 year 0% interest option for paying for them so there is still a balance outstanding.
I'm just a bit concerned that I will now have one odd colour seat cushion. They were told me when I ordered that they had to ensure that the 2 sofas went on an order as a pair as the fabric shade can vary and they have had issues before. The sofas are a light stone colour. Have to say they are fabulous at not marking and we've spilt tea/coffee, food etc on them!~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Hi, my sofa and armchair where purchased from Next in October 2005 when we moved home. They are textured velvet in the mink colour. The sofa is fine but the arms on the chair look really worn. We got them out in June 2006 and they sent two separate companies to look at it. They both said they did not look right but when Next came back to me they said there was nothing wrong with them!!! In the end I gave up. Like yours the seat pad on the chair has gone so flat but as ours is now paid for I doubt we'd be able to get a new one. What do you think? I wouldn't mind but they weren't cheap. I do agree that they clean up easily.0

When Next first rung me after the initial inspection they said they would replace the cushions even though it was normal wear they had gone flat. I disputed this as it was not what the man said who came out to see them. They didn't argue and I asked her to note it on the records which she did.
