Faulty Bangle help

Hi I purchased a bangle for a Christmas present for my mum from a well know jeweler. The catch on the bracelet continuously pops open resulting in it nearly being lost a few times over December and January. I took the bracelet back and was advised that it was "the style of the bracelet". The staff grudgingly sent it to their HO who apparently repaired it. There was no difference and the issue is still the same. I contacted the Jeweler again and they said that they could offer me £50 off a new bracelet. My issue is that the item is not fit for purpose , what advice does anyone have can I ask for my money back or a fully funded new bracelet. It was £160. Thanks

This will more appropriately looked at and dealt with in "Consumer Rights" -- I have asked for it to be moved0

If you believe it is still faulty/design flaw then with the retailer having already attempted one repair to improve the situation and failed you could exercise your "final right to reject" the goods under the Consumer Rights Act for which you'd be entitled to a full refund of the price you paid as the item is under 6 months old.Holidaytime24 said:Hi I purchased a bangle for a Christmas present for my mum from a well know jeweler. Obviously if they dispute its faulty then it becomes harder however the fact they did attempt a repair clearly illustrates they did accept there was some issue given you cannot repair something thats not broken.0
