                    Hello all
Are there any good, fairly comprehensive lists of UK charity affinity credit cards? I haven't found much info here on them, but if it exists, please accept my apologies. I would be interested in what each card offers both to the charity and to the cardholder.
Thanks,
Tom

Have a look at this article:

Thanks for the reference, pin. The issue for me, however, is that I know I would not get round to making the donations from cashback cards. The point for me of getting a charity card is to donate to charity frequently without having to do anything other than use the card as I would anyway. It is unthinking and automatic.
Thanks,
Tom0 -
Thing is, like the article said, there are better ways. Some charities allow you to set up a direct debit or standing order, you could set one of these up. Also some employers allow you to donate to charties via your pay check, and this is great because it reduces your tax burden.
If you (still) interested in a charity credit card have a look at the Nationwide Comic Relief card and MBNA who provide several charity cards (http://www.mbna.com/europe/creditcards/partner_charitygroups.html)"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
But there are so many other collateral benefits to the charity, first of which is publicity. Every time you use the card, the person who sees it sees the card. I have frequently ended up telling people about the charity my card promotes.0

Ive currently got an RSPCA credit card from Beneficial. They gave £15 to the RSPCA when I signed up, and give something like 0.5% of whatever I spend to them too...which is not much.
I agree with the poster above, who mentions the publicity aspect of it.
If you want to make a monthly donation to a charity, do it through Payroll Giving if you can. £10 will become £15 thanks to the taxman.0 -
I have a slightly different query [if anyone knows?] I have had a Beneficial affin card since 1989. At the time of opening there was a small credit to my organisation AND a rebate of 0.3%. My question is 15 years is a long time - do these rebates simply stop being made at some stage [if so when?] or do they continue forever?
Thanks in advance.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
