Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, cold, mixed weather forecast.
Dinner last night was use up, so used up opened packet of chicken dippers, chips and beans for DH and I had stuffed peppers, salad and LO chicken pasta. Tonight beef stew.
Work was ok, we'll see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
After a couple of really nice days it's blowing a gale and showery this morning. The washing I put out yesterday was dry, it was lovely to be able to put it away straight from the line.
Hope you enjoyed your celebrations yesterday Gers, glad the sun shone for you.
Pleased you are feeling better Ruby, take it easy for a few days yet.
Your last Tuesday Izzy! Quite envious of you going to the Northumberland coast, I love it there.
Sorry to hear the little one still isn't well dp1.
Anyone heard from Scarlet? It seems ages since she posted.
Off to the madhouse again, lots to do as usual. Take care. XX

Morning folks. Brr the frost is back with us but what an amazing sunrise over the moors. The sky is a brilliant red just above them and they look to be on fire.
Not a lot got done yesterday other than sorting the freezers out AGAIN and giving the fridge a really thorough clean inside. Not much will get done today either as, all being well, I am meeting my DF for lunch. I am hoping the fire will be roaring and we can nab the table beside it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. GERS I'm pleased you had a good birthday. Dp1 I'm sorry your lovely DGD isn't picking up too quickly. IZZIE I'm fizzing with excitement for you on your final countdown! NAN extra hugs for you. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning folks - thanks again for all the lovely birthday wishes, lots of lurkers came out too. 😘
Yesterday was a glorious but cold day. Today is horrible. The wind has been blustery all night, it's battering the house still. Thick grey cloud and driving rain. I had a dental appointment in Glasgow which I've rescheduled, it'd be stupid to drive down today. Apart from smashing a bottle of wine on my doorstep which had just been given me 😱 my birthday was full of phone calls, texts, video calls, cards and presents. Things will be calmer today.Overnight I hardly moved so slept well.@Izzy - it's the final countdown. Day 4 will soon be over.11 -
Morning all
After another day of rest yesterday I feel so much better today, I waited to see how I felt this morning before deciding to work or not but I feel fine so have not cancelled my guests, we will go to the museum and Star Wars exhibition and have lunch out.
Dinner tonight will be salmon with a pea and lemon risotto still not got a great appetite but eating little and often, I need to run the hoover over this morning and straighten the lounge.
Camelot still only got the two crocus 🙄 but we have had mostly rain for weeks now, today is sunny before more rain so I’m still hoping some more show their faces x
Izzy last Tuesday 😃😃😃
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all.
We've had an overnight frost and I'll be going out in a while so might need to scrape the car.
Yesterday took me absolutely ages to get to and from Cambridge, but I enjoyed having a trip out and a wander. Coming back I got the 3.15pm bus which, with a compulsory change of buses at Bedford, got me back to my car at 5.35pm. Luckily it was then only a 10 minute drive home.
Today I'm meeting friends at Ashridge House; we're having coffee then a walk round the Humphry Repton gardens. DGS, 4 months old, is being left with us early whilst DD takes one of the cats to the Vet for his annual jabs so I'd better get a move on.
Happy Tuesday everyone.11 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Had a phone call from the bereavement café yesterday asking how I was. I explained my anxiety and panic attacks ( I had let them know before I went) and how it was just too much having to talk with so many people. I also found having the chairs so close made me feel trapped.
She was really kind, said I wasn't the first to find it too much and asked what they could do to help.
Next time I don't need to say anything, (you pass a wooden baton) when it comes to me I can just pass it on, say my name or as much or as little as I feel comfortable with. Also I can sit near the door with a space beside me. Afterwards in my head I know it's ridiculous but at the time my fears are so real.
TA my freezer is such a mess good luck with the tidying
Gers pleased you enjoyed your day
Izzy not long now, you'll soon be wondering how you had time for work.
DP1 hope little one starts to improve
Take care

Morning all! Not sunny but not windy or raining, win win...I made the parsnip soup last night and I must say, it is lovely, it was a bit of chuck it in and see so in went some homemade curry powder, some madras paste and a little conatiner of cream I got form Italy, and some garam masala to finish it off. Sounds really spicy but it isn't, just a hum at the end [ it was a bagful of parsnips]...The table is finally clear and I took the christmas dec boxes upstairs so the room is quite clear too. I'll set up the laptop for later on and look for some nicer material for the bottom of the chair I bought last week. It's like a wooden carver type chair but with a bit of seat padding held in with rounded tacks. I fancy a room change around for spring...Nothing else is calling today so a quite pottering around the place day.SO, good to hear you've been checked up on and that you're ready to face another meeting. You sound a lot more upbeat today, long may it last! Gers, a good sleep after a good birthday, a good job done WL, I went boating once on the rivers in Cambridge for a holiday, beautiful place, I am envious Ruby, good to hear you're picking up too, hopefully your day won't be too taxing. TA, very proud of you for your freezer tetris does this mean there's more room for more stuff now? camelot, good luck, has it calmed down yet? Yeah, no scarlet, no bella, suffolksue, the list goes on....Izzy, four four four the number is four! Take care all though, because you should, and do some pamper because why not...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...9

Hello all, I'm a bit late but I've had a stressful day ! I got a phone call yesterday to go in for my pre op assessment early this morning only to find I wasn't on the list 🙄 I was determined not to go anywhere until I'd been seen and was ready for a lock in ! It was finally sorted but I was about an hour and a half late, then afterwards I was called back for yet more bloods, good job we'd called in the coffee shop in the hospital and were not half way home. Everybody says my op is on the 6th but as yet I haven't had confirmation, I expect I'll be the last to know, everything seems to be done at the last minute !! Sorry rant over.
This afternoon we're picking up the DGC and bringing them here for their tea, so I'm doing a roast dinner.
I haven't had a read of todays posts so yet will do so now.
Take care all
nan xx
