Oman Air, Oman's national carrier, has launched non-stop flights from Gatwick to Muscat. Oman Air commenced operation in 1993 and has seen rapid growth, making Muscat a major traffic hub in the Middle East. From this base, the airline operates flights to 25 destinations in Middle East, Europe, Far East & Indian subcontinent. In 2006 the airline carried over 1.22 million passengers.

The London flights will offer a two-class service, with departure times of 22:30, arriving in Muscat at 09:45.

Muscat is made up of a string of towns along the coast of the Gulf of Oman. 2. This competition is not open to employees of BAA Limited, Oman Air or any person directly or indirectly connected with this competition or family members of any of these persons.
3. Entry is open to all UK residents over 18 with a valid passport (Winner responsible for all visa/immigration requirements
4. There will be one prize winner and the prize includes: Two return tickets with Oman Air between Gatwick and Muscat. The costs of transfers, travel insurance, meals (other than those specified), spending money and all and any other incidental travel expenses are not included in the prize. Flights are subject to availability. First correct entry drawn at random will be the winner. Both passengers must travel together. No date changes will be accepted after the booking has been made or the tickets issued, and the tickets are non-refundable. Please note the travel period is valid between 15 February 2008 and 15 December 2008, excluding 1 April 2008 to 8 April 2008 (Easter) and 20 August 2008 to 31 August 2008 (summer holidays).
5. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Only one entry per household can be accepted.
7. Closing date for entries 31 January 2008. The judges cannot accept responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending email is not proof of receipt of entry. Entry cannot be accepted if all details are not provided.
8. The prize winner will be drawn at random from those entrants whose correct entries have reached BAA Limited by the closing date.
9. The winner will be notified in writing within 28 days of the closing date.
