    Utility Warehouse will also change your meter on the same day if you call their emergency service number. It feels like a sledgehammer solution when, as their electrician cheerfully advised, resetting a switch inside the meter would take 5 minutes, if that.

    We've already had 2 new smart meters in 2 years and don't need a third one. It seems highly unlikely that the meter is broken, more often it's the supplier's metering and technical teams that may be. It makes you wonder where they all end up? Somewhere in the UK there must be small mountain of discarded smart meters.
    A good guess would be that they get reconditioned & sent back out again.

    Do not sign up to this company whatever you do, they are an absolute joke and will try to illegally con you out of money and will then offer the poorest customer services I have ever known and ignore you and lie to you! One of the most unprofessional and untrustworthy con artist of a company I have ever dealt with
    As @Gerry1 has suggested, it would be helpful if you could explain what has caused you to reach your conclusions.

    I switched to them back in October and have found their customer services team to be very helpful.

    Firstly when I had an issue with the auxiliary load switching times on our Economy 7 meter which were out of sync with the peak and off-peak meter register times. (A legacy issue because I switched away from E7 several years ago to a time of use tariff and the auxiliary load switching times were not reset). 

    Secondly when I requested a change in fixed tariffs..

    In both cases they were very efficient and sorted out both issues without any drama. They waivered the £75 exit fee on the tariff change, even though it was a few days outside of the cooling off period.

    I am very much enjoying the 7 hours of off-peak electricity at 4.93p inc VAT, which as far as I have been able to establish is the cheapest off-peak rate available in my Region.

    I'm with UW because of their 5p night rate in Eastern.   
    I had issues at the start with transposed readings but they corrected it and had no issues after that.
