HSBC status now 'Ready for offer'

Hi Folks!

FTB with HSBC.

After rather an awkward valuation (timber and damp survey request), had an email to check status as online application had changed. Logged on to find a request for latest payslip. Status at 'application under review'. Uploaded payslip.

Status now changed to 'ready for offer'.

In what is left to do, it says 'review our offer'.

Big question is, what does 'READY FOR OFFER' mean? Can I be hopeful? Lol

TIA for any advice.

Usually it means it's in a queue waiting for someone to sign-off the issue of the offer. Then it will move to "offered."

  • Thanks. There is now a button saying 'create my mortgage offer'. When I click on it it is asking for latest payslip and says it will send upload link within 48 hours.

My word it is nerve jangling lol

We're going for a new  mortgage with HSBC (not FTB but we don't have an existing mortgage)  and I think kingstreet is correct from what the advisor told us. You should get an offer soon, then review, and accept if you are okay with it.
  • Thanks, fingers crossed! Lol
  • Furtyer info now that they have valued the property just over what my offer price is, so I can assume they are happy to lend on the property.

Is there any reason the invite to upload documents can take over the 48 hours to arrive?

Forgive me for being slightly dull, but can you clarify if it is the issue 'of' the offer, or 'or' the offer?

I know I am a pest, but I cant help but over analyze everything at the moment lol

We were told the upload docs email would be sent within 72 hours. My OH got hers yesterday, which was about 24 hours, I've not got mine yet.

"Sign-off the issue of the offer" means someone decides it should be offered and then takes the action required for that to take place.
