Thanks nmlcHappy Birthday Gers, glad it got off to a good start.Snoozer that's a bit worrying about the solar panels
Hope the grumpiness isn't too bad.
Enjoy your last working Monday Izzy, well perhaps not enjoy but savour the dayHad a nice drive over the moors yesterday & called at our friends on the way back. Once back I did a bit of batch cooking,& soup making, then joined DH watching the football on tv.Not sure what we'll eat later but plenty in the freezer.Hope you all have a good day. x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone and Happy Birthday Gers x
Little one has still been poorly over the weekend so she's not back at school today - she'll be so disappointed. Her dietician put her back on milk feeds on Friday night, but it really upset her tummy on Saturday - DD ended up picking her up when she finished work at 10pm and taking her back to sleep with her. She dropped her off again on her way to work yesterday morning - we had a very quiet day, but she still isn't eating so DD will hopefully speak to the dietician this morning. She is worrying that she will end up losing the job she has just started if little one has to go back into hospital - it's been almost a year since she last worked, she ended up leaving the last one as she was letting them down so much. It's a shame as she's really enjoying it and little one was doing so much better.
I'm not back at work till Thursday so will have a lazy day today as DD isn't at work. I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning as I didn't get down yesterday.
I had a lovely long chat with DD in Germany yesterday - she's happy as she had an excellent appraisal at work and a pay rise.
Topsyturvy - I took my PIP appeal to tribunal and still didn't get it. I've asked them to send me a review so I know why not, but I think I over-complicated things as my employer was paying me for more hours than I was actually working. I've got a phone call with a lady from the job centre this morning to arrange to apply for limited capability to work.
I'm managing, but just, on the amount of money I have coming in and I'm lucky that my mam and dad help if I need anything, but age 56 I don't like having to ask them.
Izzy - your last week! I bet you're so happy. Mind you get all your bedding washed this week! Where in Northumberland are you coming to?
Better get moving - hope you all have a good day today x
Thanks once more for all the good wishes for my little one x11 -
Morning all, it's dry and sunny but extremely windy, I foresee many bins going over tonight if it continues.
Mr Fix It was called out by Dad for a plumbing emergency yesterday as his kitchen sink wouldn't empty so he tried to fix it himself but damaged something in doing so, cue plumbers R us to the rescue.
Meanwhile DD came to collect DGD yesterday and the three of us went to town as I needed some new PJ's. A basket full of clothes later I returned, with some things I didn't even know I needed 😂 Note to self don't put DD in charge of the basket next time ! I had a senior moment too as I couldn't use my keys to lock the front door, so I had to use the spare set. The penny finally dropped after I got home, I'd been trying to use the back door key, doh !!
Today there will be some pottering about including putting the folding bed back up.
Gers happy birthday, have a fabulous day. 🥳🎉🎂
Izzy one week to go yay !! Hope it goes quickly.
dp1 I hope DD doesn't have to give up her job, hugs to all of you.
Snoozer oh dear, hope the cranky ones get over their tiredness quickly.
Have a good day everyone, hugs to the poorly ones and anyone struggling with daily life. Hi ! to the MIA's.
Take care all.

Morning all
Happy Birthday Gers 🎉🥳🎂
Woke at 9.30 this morning and I feel so much better still not 100% but near enough, it’s freezing cold here and blowing a hooley there are four ways out of our village and two of them are closed one due to a massive sink hole and one with a huge tree down let’s hope the other two remain open !
I will take the dogs out for a quick walk this morning and then have a tidy through ready for my people to come tomorrow, we are off to a local museum which is full of Roman artefacts from the city and they have a Star Wars toy exhibition on atm, we will have lunch while out and maybe a wander around the shops.
Dinner tonight will be minty lamb chops with veg and mash, I don’t have much of an appetite atm but this is one of my favourite meals so might tempt me to eat.
Izzy enjoy your last week make sure you take as much as possible in to wash while you are there 😂😂
Dp1 poor little one is really going through it atm, hope she recovers soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning! Gone from arctic weather to tornados...OK bit of an exagerration but roll on balmy summer days! My tomatoes would appreciate it thank you [ not that I've sown them yet, that's a job for next week] Today we have a general tidy up, followed by a cook up of things that are going over, like a packet of parsnips from Christmas...SOup anyone? A peruse of some cookery books is also on the cards. I have a massive one called La Cucina, and I do like a little look through it, got a thing about beans at the moment...Supper tonight is the brisket in gravy with the polenta from last night in the air fryer [ I caved and bought one, oony a cheap one, not a ninja or anythinng and I only got because it was thrty percent off or something like that] Verdict, very useful so far.Gers, have a fantastic birthday!! Izy, only five days to go? Woop woop! And yes, do as suggested, block the number and do the bedsheets first
dp1, hope the little one improves today..nanny, I'm sure Nels charabanc is still operational somewhere
snoozer, what a scare! I don't think I'd have gone on the roof to look at them, brave man. Allie, enjoy the tea and cake! camelot, well done on the greenhouse tidy, want to do mine? TA, fingers crossed for the inventory taking...SO, hope you're feeling less overwhelmed abut going next time
you're just getting used to not being so isolated so it might take a bit of time, but it's totally doable. And there endeth todays thoughts, so take care out there, it's windy!

Hi Chums I just had a letter from Southern Water saying they have had a data leak and my detail may have been stolen What makes me a bit suspicious is the apparent phone number on the letter doesn't match any on SW website. plus they are offering a 12 month free Experian Identity Plus scheme which seems to good to be true and you have to enter all your details name address bank details etc on the form I tried to get in touch with SW but it seems to be permanently engaged I'm very wary of giving my details to anyone let alone online.Anyone else with Southern Water had a letter at all ?
