Vinyl roll over ceramic tiles

Options
Looking to cover our ceramic tiles with a roll of vinyl, doing the job myself in a moneysaving way.
So, needing to level out any grout lines to try for a best finish when laying the vinyl.
Are there any recommendations on products to achieve this?
Also any hints and advice on laying the lino is appreciated.

Thanks

You could use something like Ardex na self levelling compound.
  • Just to be clear vinyl and lino are two different products. If you want an eco-friendly floor covering then go for lino, which is made with linseed oil, sawdust, pine resin, and a calcium mineral compound on a canvass like base. Whereas vinyl is a fossil fuel derived "plastic" product.

Thank you. With regards to the Ardex is it a case of filling in the grout lines or will the whole lot have to be done?

Personally, I'd do the whole floor.

There are other pros and cons between Vinyl and Lino sheet flooring. One relevant to the OP is that Lino is harder to lay than vinyl as it less flexible. Although it is probably a bit debatable whether even laying Vinyl is a DIY job, as one wrong cut and .....
Depends on the room layout - the simpler the better.
