Currently 42 days in to our 57 day holiday and only just noted that maximum trip duration on our policy is 50 days in one trip - has anybody experienced this and can they advise. Will contact my insurance provider tomorrow but looking for any help in the interim

Speak to them in the first instance but as you are already travelling they are unlikely to be able to assist.
There are specialist insurers that will cover people who are already travelling, their cover is much more focused on illness than property though. Be aware that not all are UK based and so your level of protection with the FOS and FSCS may be different.0 -
Buying insurance with another insurance company wont be valid unless you clarify (in writing preferably) that you have already started the trip. ....

Do you ask your car insurer to confirm they insurer cars in writing too? You buy from a specialist provider that explicitly covers those already mid travel. No need for anything else in writing from them.Bicycleman22 said:Buying insurance with another insurance company wont be valid unless you clarify (in writing preferably) that you have already started the trip. ....0
