Non fault car insurance claim

Briefly, got involved in a non fault accident at the end of last year. Instructed a claims management company to handle my claim. They have just informed me that they have closed my case because they say the repair garage did not get back to them. Do I have any comeback with the claims company?

I didn't inform my insurance company about the incident at the time. Any ideas as to how to move things forward would be much appreciated.

It isn't so long since the end of last year. I'd suggest you inform your insurer (which you're obliged to anyway) and let them handle it.

Why didn't you use them in the first place? That's what you pay them for.

    Why'd you have "comeback"?

So did you go to their garage for the repairs? Are you waiting for some particular reason.

Not informing your insurers is always a bad idea if you are claiming via a claims management company. Hopefully you haven't renewed in the interim as that would be fraud.
  • Why didn't the garage get back to them?  Is your car still with them?
