Take a trip to America’s Deep South this summer without even leaving the county! Yes that’s right, the very best R&B, Americana, Blues, Roots and Country artists will descend on Suffolk’s Euston Hall from 30 May – 1 June and you could be there. We’ve paired up with Red Rooster Festival to give away two weekend tickets (worth £149.50 each) to a lucky Muddy Stilettos reader.
As part of the festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations, the winners will get the chance to see the last UK festival performance from Austin, Texas royalty Asleep at the Wheel and Galen & Paul, the new project from Paul Simonon, legendary bassist of The Clash. There will also a very special performance from Take Me to The River. This supergroup is backed by Al Green’s original band and features North Mississippi Allstars and Soul legend William Bell.
It’s not just about amazing music though. Red Rooster Festival is also a foodie extravaganza with delicious American street food stalls serving everything from smoked low n’ slow BBQ, Mac n’ Cheese and blackened cajun shrimp bowls to grilled cheeses, chilli dogs and waffles. Plus, there’s so much to see and do all weekend for the whole family. Activities include wild swimming, trips on the lake in swan pedalos, wilderness survival workshops, cooking classes, craft workshops, and a whole host of fun children’s activities.
