Enduring Power of Attorney

My Dad has an Enduring Power of Attorney made up in 2002. In it, he lists his wife and myself (his daughter).
Both Mum and Dad are now in a care home and have dementia and are unable to sort out their own affairs.
The EPOA lists Mum first (at an old address) and then me, and states "jointly and severally". I have recently tried to register this POA with a finance company but they insist on recording Mum at her old address (because she is listed first), and not me, even though I have advised them of Mum's situation and provided a letter from her GP confirming that she is no longer able to act as POA. The finance company now say I need to provide a letter from the OPG or a Deed of Revocation to record me as the POA. Is this correct?

Unfortunate EPAs are not so straight forward as LPAs. I just had a look through the guidance for EPAs and there is no mention of what to do if one of the attorneys dies or no longer has the capacity to act. A lone attorney can apply if they can act J&S, but they have to inform the other attorneys. I think you may need to call the OPG for advice,
Edit, I have just seen your other thread, and it appears you have yet to register the EPA, so you should contact the OPG on Monday
