Morning all, we had the gritter on our road twice last night as it all the cars were iced up. It's now a balmy 4 degrees, phew, bikinis on girls 🥵
Lots of very kind comments on here after my confession yesterday, thank you for letting me know I'm not alone, it means a heck of a lot 🧡
Dad didn't come over yesterday as he felt "off" and it was raining, so after about 10 mins Mr Fix It was able to drag the information from him and did his car tax online. It's like pulling teeth theses days as he can't keep on track for 2 secs, I don't know how many times he asked him for the big number at the top left of his reminder. 
I have to make a chicken pasta today as DGD is coming for a sleep over, she'll either be hyper or shattered though as she was staying the night with her friend yesterday.

Gers and Camelot have a great meet up. It comes to something when we get excited/ apprehensive about an unknown adventure as an "Old Biddy"😂 BTW I'm another old biddy !
SO I'm sorry you had to leave, bet you're not the only one who's done that though.
dp1 you have the answer to taking the antib's now, you have to have a piece of white choc and raspberry cake accompanied by a hot choc as well, perhaps everyone should have that combination on prescription !
TA I'm really sorry to read about SIL, it must be very frightening for all of you.

Dp1 another one here having reaction to anti b ( or horse pills as I'm calling them ) x

One of my incisions hadn't closed properly so became infected  ( or angry as the lovely doc said ) so twice weekly visits having it dressed and Anti b to clear infections
I'm now just over week 4 and as already said I'm not a very patient patient and have felt a bit sorry for myself this week. DH bless him took me to GC for brunch yesterday which was lovely but I was shattered when we got back. Still working on increasing energy levels 
I have agreed DBIL and DSIL  can visit but have warned that they will have to make their own teas and coffees.think they are used to me being the hostess normally. They are arriving today until Monday. Chicken casserole in the SC so not too arduous. DH has popped to get some bits with a list. Bless him he has been so good.

Sorry just re read and sounds like a bit of a whinge.
Sun is out here today hope everyone has a good day sending hugs to all who want them

Well yesterday I made a total fool of myself at the bereavement café.
Everyone had to sit in circle and introduce ourselves, and say something about themselves or how they'd been coping.(I thought AA meeting)
Well as they went around, getting closer to me, I could feel my anxiety building and I panicked and ran out of the room. 

On the good side my heating is working but on the bad side he's found another problem.a leaking part. So more expensive and another visit.

Please don’t think like that.  Personally I think that’s a little too much for people to deal with for a specific bereavement ‘event’. Much better for people to just be able to mingle or sit as they wish.

Silver-Oldie I too think that was a lot to expect you to cope with on your first visit. I'm surprised no one followed you and helped you to try again.

Afternoon all, missing in action- I tried posting yesterday and then lost it. Been a bit hectic with half term and DH birthday(another Pisces) yesterday , a visit to my old disabled neighbour on Tues,lunch with oldest friend Wed.Had a lovely day with the DGc all to myself on Thursday . Tonight we are going out for a meal with DB2 and SIL to a nice Italian.

I don’t know where todays gone just popped in to say SO you won’t be the only one who has done that I agree a bit of a mingle would have been better but at least you went you didn’t think you would be able to well you did it will be better next time Nan we will all be holding your hand when my friend was diagnosed with it I told her it didn’t matter how anyone else felt or coped it was about her and that’s who she had to think about . We woke up to a hard frost this morning been to pet shop and bought her ladyship a new coat that’s us on bread and water for the rest of the month she’s lying upside down snoring now heatings on housework and shopping is done I’m going to have a sit down and a cuppa. Gers and Camelot I hope you both enjoy your catch up . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

SO, you didn't make a fool of yourself at all. You just got overwhelmed, I doubt anyone was thinking anything bad of you for doing that, they were probably all thinking it was a bit much for you. You weren't and aren't a total fool. You know how it will be the next time now, just remember they've all been there and done that, and they'll all be silently wishing you well, like us, except we're louder
