Hi guys, an update, i sent an email on 25/10 using the advice available, and received this email back today:1

Fascinating to read these words in that email from a firm of solicitors...Our client is a member of the International Parking Community which is a government approved Accredited Trade Association (ATA) for Private Parking.
They go on to say...
It [£70] is a fair amount set by our Client's government-approved Accredited Trade Association Code of Practice.Government approved Accredited Trade Association??
Is there such a thing as a government approved Accredited Trade Association for Private Parking?

Perhaps they think that the DVLA are the government in view of their template reply stating their (DVLA's) right to give out motorists personal data willy-nilly:-
"At DVLA we have tough safeguards in place to protect the privacy of information held on our records. One of those safeguards is that all unregulated organisations, such as private car parking management companies, requesting information from us must be a member of a DVLA Accredited Trade Association (ATA)."4 -
The Claimant certainly isn't Moorside Legal so why was that in your subject line? No harm done but please follow the advice carefully.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You know what happens next, anyway: as seen in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.
But why not just search for other Moorside Legal threads and learn from them while you await your claim form? They are new this year so we only have a few threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
